After the first two successful Andrews Vision sessions we have developed three action teams: Beautification, Youth & Families, Business & Tourism
Beautification Team
The Beautification Team celebrates and enhances what makes Andrews so special — its natural beauty, classic Main Street architecture, and welcoming small-town charm. This group works to create a visually vibrant downtown that reflects community pride and invites people to explore, connect, and enjoy the town’s character.
Projects may include installing planters and street trees, adding murals, public art, and decorative lighting, and improving signage, benches, and public seating areas. The team also explores ways to highlight underused storefronts — such as window art displays or “adopt-a-window” programs — to bring color, energy, and life to downtown spaces.
Ultimately, the Beautification Team’s goal is to build on Andrews’ beauty and community spirit — creating inviting spaces where people love to stroll, linger, take photos, and experience the town’s warmth day or night.
Youth & Families Team
The Youth & Families Team celebrates Andrews as a wonderful place to grow up, raise a family, and stay connected across generations. This group strengthens community ties by creating fun, meaningful experiences that bring people together and nurture a sense of belonging.
Their efforts center on family-friendly events, youth programs, and creative activities that showcase local talent and community spirit — from outdoor movie nights and holiday parades to art workshops, youth leadership programs, and intergenerational volunteer days. The team partners with schools, churches, and local organizations to expand opportunities for learning, mentorship, and recreation for Andrews’ young people.
The vision is simple but powerful: an Andrews where every family feels included, every generation feels connected, and every young person knows they have a voice in shaping their hometown’s future.
Business & Tourism Team
The Business & Tourism Team builds on Andrews’ entrepreneurial spirit, natural beauty, and small-town charm to strengthen the town’s economic heart. This group supports local businesses, attracts new investment, and connects downtown commerce with the region’s vibrant outdoor recreation and cultural experiences. Their work celebrates what already makes Andrews special — a welcoming Main Street, creative entrepreneurs, and stunning mountain setting that draws visitors year-round.
Projects may include storefront activation initiatives, support for local entrepreneurs and pop-up shops, improved signage and visitor wayfinding, and regional collaborations to enhance tourism, marketing, and community events. The team also explores creative ways to bring vitality to underused buildings — from business incentive programs and shared retail spaces to community promotions that draw people downtown.
The goal of the Business & Tourism Team is to cultivate a vibrant local economy where businesses flourish, visitors feel inspired to return, and downtown Andrews shines as a hub of creativity, connection, and community pride.
